JumpScareApp ("the App") is developed and provided by DrAGoS, an individual developer based in Romania ("we", "us").

JumpScareApp is a Windows desktop application for live streamers. It plays jump-scare videos, sounds and visual effects ("Haunting Mode") on the user's computer and, optionally, on their live stream (including via a browser overlay for OBS), triggered manually or by events from third-party streaming platforms and tools: Twitch, Kick, TikTok, YouTube, TipeeeStream and Streamer.bot.
In addition, the App provides features that use the public chat of the platforms you connect: a unified chat (messages from all platforms in a single feed, shown in a window of the App and, optionally, as an OBS overlay), song requests from chat, played through an embedded YouTube player, a coins system and leaderboards computed from your viewers' public events, and automatic chat replies (directly or through Streamer.bot).
By creating an account or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the App.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on one computer, for your own streaming activity. You may not:
The App, its code and its assets remain our property. Media files you add yourself (your own videos/sounds) remain yours and stay on your computer.
You agree not to use the App to harass, harm or deceive others, and to comply with the terms of the platforms you connect (Twitch, Kick, TikTok, YouTube, TipeeeStream) and with applicable law. You are solely responsible for the content you play on your stream, including having the rights to any media files you add.
The same responsibility applies to content brought in by your viewers. Songs requested from chat are chosen by them but played on your stream, and the copyright in the music you broadcast is a matter between you and the platform you stream on. Likewise, messages shown in the chat overlay are written by viewers but appear on your stream. Moderation controls are available to you (skip, remove a request, turn features off), and using them is up to you.
The App intentionally produces sudden loud sounds, flashing lights, screen dimming and startling images. Do not use it if you (or your viewers, where you can reasonably know this) suffer from photosensitive epilepsy, heart conditions or similar sensitivities. You use the App and expose your audience to its effects at your own responsibility.
The App relies on third-party services we do not control: Supabase (accounts and database), Google (optional sign-in), and the APIs of the streaming platforms you choose to connect. Their availability is not guaranteed by us, and their own terms apply to your accounts with them.
Some integrations (for example TikTok LIVE) use unofficial APIs. We are not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Twitch, Kick, TikTok, YouTube, TipeeeStream or Streamer.bot. We cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness or reliability of the data received from these platforms (events, gifts, notifications), and features may stop working at any time if a platform changes or restricts its APIs. We will make reasonable efforts to adapt to such changes, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation.
The newer features add further third-party services, contacted directly from your computer: YouTube (searching for and playing songs requested from chat) and the emote services 7TV, BetterTTV and FrankerFaceZ (the emote images shown in the unified chat). We are not affiliated with them, we do not guarantee their availability, and music playback is subject to YouTube's own terms.

We cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness or reliability of the data received from these platforms (events, gifts, notifications), and features may stop working at any time if a platform changes or restricts its APIs. We will make reasonable efforts to adapt to such changes, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation.
The App may check for and install updates. We may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time. Online features (login, license verification, error reporting) require an internet connection; a limited offline grace period may apply.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms (including license circumvention or abuse of the support/reset system). You may stop using the App and request account deletion at any time (see the Privacy Policy).
The App is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, lost data, stream interruptions, platform sanctions (e.g. bans imposed by Twitch/TikTok etc.) or damages caused by misuse of the App. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the last 12 months. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (e.g. intent or gross negligence, or consumers' statutory rights).
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in the App or by email. Continued use after the changes take effect means acceptance.
